Kristi Clifford is an entrepreneur and entertainment industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in the business. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, the birthplace of hip-hop, Kristi stuck to her roots and has spent her career working with some of the most influential hip hop artists, producers, and executives in the industry, leading them to pivotal moments in their careers.
At the outset of her career, Kristi worked as one of the first employees at the famed hip-hop label Roc-A-Fella Records directly under its three founders, Jay-Z, Kareem ‘Biggs’ Burke, and Damon ‘Dame’ Dash, where she helped Jay-Z rise to fame during the time period of his first two studio albums, Reasonable Doubt and In My Lifetime, Vol. 1, respectively. She also took on her first clients as a manager, including hip-hop duo Camp Lo and iconic hip-hop DJ and multiplatinum GRAMMY® award-winning producer Kid Capri, whom she still manages today (over 25 years later).
After working at Roc-A-Fella Records for four years, Kristi went on to found Asti Management in 1998, where she worked with Kid Capri, Styles P, Jadakiss, The Lox, Idris Elba, Mike Epps, and more, before returning to her roots at Roc Nation 18 years later. While at Roc Nation, Kristi worked with numerous hip-hop acts, including The Lox, Fat Joe, Yo Gotti, Moneybagg Yo, Chino Braxton, Statik Selektah, and, most famously, Megan Thee Stallion, whom she signed in September 2019. In 2020, Kristi left Roc Nation and managed Nicki Minaj before moving on to Monami Management, where she worked under Mona Scott-Young handling the day-to-day affairs for Missy Elliott.
Currently, Kristi works under her newly-founded company Asti Love, LLC, where she offers consulting and management services. Her management clients include hip-hop acts Kid Capri, Vina Love, Styles P, JACKBOY, Dizzy Banko, The Hoodies, Swerv Stacks, and comedian Marcus Banks. Under her consulting division, Kristi works with hip-hop group The Lox and is executive producing a documentary for them, along with the three group members (Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch). She is also in the process of expanding Asti Love, LLC to include a kid’s division, writing a memoir, and starting a podcast.
